ReConstruct Supporters Golfed for a Local Cause
Nashville, Tenn. (April 23, 2007) Over 30 local golfers raised $37,000 in the annual ReConstruct Golf Challenge Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin. The money raised assists Nashville-area elderly, disabled or low-income residents with yard work and minor repairs to their homes. This is an annual event of ReConstruct, a non-profit organization that utilizes volunteer student labor to provide home repair assistance to residents in Middle Tennessee. "We were very pleased with the outcome for both the golfers and the funds raised for the first year of this type of event." said ReConstruct President, Paul Morris.
A golf challenge differs from a pay-to-play golf tournament because the players don't pay a fee to play in the tournament. Instead participants are encouraged to secure corporate sponsors at different giving levels. "We had a great time at the ReConstruct golf challenge," said golfer Steve Stark, "The Lord blessed the fundraising efforts of the players and provided us all with a glorious day for golf and fellowship."
Our next Golf Challenge will be April 21, 2008.
