Staff Spotlight: Josh Miller

Josh Miller began his official employment as Program/Promotions Director with Reconstruct two years ago in January of 2003. He served the summer before giving technical advice to the groups that served through ReConstruct.

Josh is great example of how God works. During the summer of 2002 ReConstruct was in the process of developing a new strategy for branding, promotion, and fund raising. The challenge for ReConstruct was to hire a person who not only had a knowledge of advertising but also an understanding of the organization’s new strategy. At that time, Josh was a senior at Murray State University in Murray, KY. He graduated from Murray with a degree in advertising. God provided Josh Miller for ReConstruct.

Since Josh has been with ReConstruct the exposure to church groups has increased, the ReConstruct website has been improved, and group participation has grown. Now you may say, “Wow. God provided the right person at the right time.” The staff of ReConstruct would agree. However, the promotion strategy that Josh has implemented is not what he is about. His first and foremost passion is about the participant who serve and their spiritual growth as servants of Christ. Josh views ReConstruct as a tool that God uses for the participants to experience spiritual growth, whether they’re an adult or student. That is how God works. God uses Josh Miller not only to promote the organization and develop a meaningful summer program. He has also created, within Josh, a desire for others to have a growing relationship with Christ and for ReConstruct to be part of that growth process.
