Click here for a complete list of what to bring to a ReConstruct week.
What about adult sponsors?
Youth groups must include at least one adult sponsor, 21 years or older, for every five students. If you are bringing both guys and girls, you will need sponsors for each gender. We strongly encourage each group to bring an experienced home repair volunteer as a crew chief for each work crew. An application is required for the crew chief. Click here to find the online Crew Chief Application your crew chief will need to submit. Click here to download the Crew Chief Responsibilities.
What about meals?
ReConstruct provides 15 total meals, beginning with Sunday evening dinner and concluding with Friday evening dinner. Breakfast and dinner will be served cafeteria-style at the lodging facility. Lunches will be provided at the work-site. You will be responsible for your own Wednesday night dinner.
Dress Code
ReConstruct requires all participants and staff to exercise discretion regarding their clothing. We want the week you spend with us to ReConstruct your life. These guidelines are not meant to punish you, but to prevent distractions so that we are able to focus on the real reason we are all here: Jesus.
Please no tight shirts, sweaters, pants or shorts.
Please no spaghetti straps, bare midriffs or short shorts.
Please no short skirts or low-cut tops.
Please no sagging pants.
Please no writing on the buttocks of clothing.
Please no t-shirts or other garments with offensive material as determined by the ReConstruct staff and your church’s adult leaders.
On the worksite long pants, sleeved shirts, and closed toed shoes are a MUST; this is non-negotiable.
This dress code is not intended to weigh you down with rules, but to avoid any problems before they start. If there is a questionable article of clothing, a staff member will speak to the participant and their leader privately, and in all cases, the staff’s word will be final.
How will we get to the worksites?
You will be responsible for transportation to and from the worksites during the week. Due to logistical issues, we encourage you to use vans.
Who will we work with?
Your church group will be assigned to its own worksite for every 10-15 participants. Evening program and meals will be with other church groups attending the ReConstruct week.
Will we do other ministry?
On Thursday night, your church group will grill hotdogs, play games, and just spend some time with the residents of the community they have worked in all week. This gives the group an opportunity to meet the community and share with them one on one why they have been working all week.

*What is the registration fee and policy?
The total registration fee is $295.00 per person. A $50 per person deposit is required at registration by April 1, 2008 to reserve your space. The registration form itself is not sufficient to reserve spots. The $50 deposit is transferable and refundable until April 1, 2008. The deposit is non-refundable after April 1, 2008. Please be sure to reserve enough spaces for your group. The balance is due by May 1, 2008. While you can add more participants later, space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellations after May 1, 2008 will result in a 100% loss of total fee per cancellation.
